Mansfield St Mark and Mansfield St Peter & St Paul would like an Associate Priest (Incumbent Status) to join us in our Christian journey
Mansfield lies 14 miles north of the city of Nottingham, close to Sherwood Forest, the Peak District and the M1. Mansfield is an expanding town (population circa 100,000) and contains significant educational establishments, including schools and an FE College. There is also a major hospital just beyond the town. Both parishes occupy a reasonably central location in the town and contain a mixture of prosperity and social deprivation. St Mark’s church is of an inclusive Anglo-Catholic tradition and St Peter and St Paul embraces an evangelical as well as a Catholic ethos.
We are seeking an Associate Priest to work alongside the vicar and take particular responsibility for St Mark’s. We are seeking someone who:
enjoys the challenges of working collaboratively with clergy and lay colleagues as they seek to spread the gospel and grow disciples
will join with us in taking our faith beyond the church doors and help us to take risks in extending the considerable links we already have
values the liturgy and music of the Anglo-Catholic tradition in spiritual sustenance and growth
is an advocate for inclusive church – ‘all are welcome here’
is a good listener whose ministry is based on face to face relationships with young and old alike
